I know as a military wife that the “funding” isn’t always there. The military takes care of us, don’t misunderstand, but money gets tight and sometimes you just need that extra line of credit to help you get through.
America One Unsecured is there to help. They are America’s LARGEST loan broker offering lines of credit that include small business loans and unsecured personal loans. There are no upfront fees and their pre-qualification process is free and fast. According to their website, most clients are approved with interest rates between 7.9% and 19.99%. There is even no pre-payment penalties, so you can pay off your loan as fast as you can (which is recommended by most “money experts”).
America One Unsecured’s website is clear and easy to navigate. Their contact information is right up front so you can call and talk to an operator if you wish to apply over the phone (or just to get more information). They are listed on the BBB (Better Business Bureau); so you can be sure that the company will provide you with excellent service.
One aspect I enjoyed about the site is that they have financial articles for you to read so you can better understand the loan process and all different types of loans. They also have an excellent blog that covers everything from “Can You Afford to Get Married?” to taxes, debt management and investments.
All in all, I recommend you check out America One Unsecured. You can learn a lot from their website and blog even if you aren’t planning on getting a loan right now. If you do, however, need a loan, they are there for you.

I’ve heard that the Navy childcare system here in Virginia is crappy. Not that the care providers are crappy – just that is really hard to get your child(ren) into childcare (be it CDC or CDH). Apparently, you have to call a number and they send you a “booklet” of all the CDH (Childcare Home) providers and CDC numbers and you have to hunt down someone who will take all ages. Some only take 3 year olds. Some only take under 2. Most (including the actual CDC) are no drop-ins.
So, in essence, I have to find someone who will do drop-in care for the occasional times I would like to work out, or have a doctors appointment or work a chili sale. Anyone have any hints?
I am wondering if my playgroup has something like a childcare swap, like if anyone is interested in it. I know people get worried that they will get “stuck” watching 3 kids when they only have 1 – but I don’t care. The more kids the more fun to me. Maybe I can instigate something.
